Adam's Road is a musical band made up of a group of talented young men who have been called to use their muscial gifts and personal testimonies to share about the good news of Jesus Christ. Each member of Adam's Road comes from an LDS Mormon background; in fact, four of the five served as full-time LDS missionaries. Their stories about how they entered into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ, and broke free from the bonds of religion, form the basis for the film Unveiling Grace.
Adam's Road tours throughout the United States each year, sharing their music and their stories. They do not charge for any of their concerts or their materials--their purpose is purely a heart of ministry for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their CDs are given away for free, both at their concerts and through their website, www.adamsroadband.com. How we got "connected" with Adam's Road
It was our initial involvement with Adam's Road that set us on the course to produce the film Unveiling Grace. In the fall of 2009, Main Street Church hosted an Adam's Road concert in our sanctuary, as part of their tour throughout the state of Utah. We had never met them before, nor did we know much about them, but we had been encouraged by an acquaintance to get their stories on tape. And so we asked them if they would be willing to let us interview them, and they said, "Sure." We set up an old camcorder, had them sit down, one at at a time, to share their stories. We didn't really know what to expect, but as we watched and re-watched the interviews, it was clear to us that theirs was a story that needed to be told.
In years past, Main Street Church had had a history of active video production, but we had been on hiatus from production for some time. We felt compelled by the stories of Adam's Road to end our hiatus and get back in the saddle. So the following spring we acquired some better equipment, and in April of 2010, our ersatz film "director" flew out to Florida (where Adam's Road is based) to gather more detailed, professional-looking interviews that would eventually become Unveiling Grace. These interviews include the five members of the Adam's Road band, as well as three others who have been active "behind the scenes" in the ministry of Adam's Road. Their stories are all uniquely interconnected, and together these eight people provided us with a stunning and moving story of God's grace and the power of His Word, the Bible.
In the years since production first began on Unveiling Grace, we have been privileged to deepen our friendship with those who participated in the film. They have become true brothers and sisters, and encouraging co-laborers in the effort to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with our Latter-day Saint neighbors and beyond.
